What is udhaar khata?
Udhaar khata is the record of who bought on credit and how much they still owe. In Barkat, each customer has their own ledger. Every udhaar bill adds to the balance (baqaya) and every payment takes it down.
The reminder is one tap: Barkat writes the message and opens WhatsApp. You check it and press send. Nothing is ever sent without you.

Sell on udhaar
At the counter, choose udhaar (Credit in General Trade) and the customer's name. The bill goes into their khata.

The reminders list shows everyone who owes you, biggest balance first, with the days since their last purchase.

Does Barkat send reminders by itself?Kya reminder khud chala jata hai?
No. Barkat writes the message and opens WhatsApp for you. You check it and press send.
Can I set an udhaar limit?Udhaar ki had rakh sakte hain?
Yes. Give each customer an udhaar limit. In the browser the counter refuses an udhaar bill that takes them over it; on the Pharmacy desktop app the bill is saved and flagged for you to review.
Can I keep supplier udhaar too?Supplier ka udhaar bhi?
Yes. Suppliers have their own ledgers, so you can see what you owe each one.
What if a customer pays part of the amount?Thori payment karein to?
Record the amount they paid. The balance goes down by that much and the rest stays in their khata.
Does the customer need the Barkat app?Customer ko app chahiye?
No. The reminder is an ordinary WhatsApp message from your phone.
